Lake Powell trip

So, a quick update. It's 12:57 pm and my allergies are so bad I can't sleep, so I thought I'd do a little blogging. It's official, I take a LOT of pictures. We just got home from our week long vacation at Lake Powell and I took 850 pictures. It was so fun. We had a great spot on the beach and the kids were able to just walk out and play. We were with my family (minus Doug and Chamrie who were sorely missed) and our (close enough to be family) friends, The dye family. It was the best trip we've had. I could have stayed longer aside from the fact that I missed my real shower. :)

I took so many pictures on the trip that I am extremely grateful for my digital camera. If you only knew how many picture are on my computer. It's amazing

language

Shaylor man is now fluent in cow, cat, dog, and owl. his Favorite by far is cow though. Last night I walked in my room and he was down on his hands and knees mooing as loudly as he could. I love it. He recognizes a lot too. When we look though our big book of letters he says uh-oh every time he sees the broken egg and can point out almost every picture as I say what it is. It's so fun.

Quite a girl

Lauren is quite the girl with a huge vocabulary for her size. Delicious, Difficult, and hilarious are just a few of the words that surprise us as they come out of her mouth at the dinner table. She also has this funny side that loves attention not to mention posing and making faces for the camera.

Funny Understandings

Lauren cracks me up the way she understands things sometimes. In fact the term "cracks me up" i guess is a little confussing. She yelled at me the other day when she was in trouble for something and said "YOU'RE CRACKING ME UP!" I explained that I say that when something makes me laugh. Then another time I left Shaylor in the car while I went to the door to pick her up from preschool...I said that we'd better hurry because the last time I left shaylor in the car he bald...She turned to me with such innocence and said "with no hair?". :) I love to see Her start to question things that we do and say everyday, that we don't even think about being taken differently then we meant.
Her vocabulary surprises me to...Last night she was in trouble for not being nice. She said that it was hard for her to be nice...that we needed to teach her how to be nice because she didn't know "how to go about it" She's uses big words that Corey and I don't always know where she gets them from. (sometimes we don't realize we use them) Of course I can't think of them off the top of my head... but you get the idea. :)
Shaylor has been showing interest in picking out his clothes. The other day he took me to his drawer and picked out a shirt and hugged it like his puppy dog, so I picked pants to match. Then a few days later I changed his diaper and left his pajama pants off for a minute. I said that we were changing his clothes and getting new pants in a minute... he ran out of the room and I heard a loud bang in the other room. I called out to see what the noise was and he came running back into the room with a pair of clean pants from his drawer. He was ready!

Shaylor walks

I've been wanting to add video of Shaylor walking for a while. We're still working on downloading video files from our video camera to the computer. I know it's possible because we did it once. I can however take them from my phone so... not amazing quality but hopefully now Laura has proof that Shaylor isn't a walking sumo. :)

Gone for the summer

Doug, Chamrie, and Bryan are all gone for the summer. They are working in Denver and will be gone for four months. I can't believe they really left...so weird.

I keep trying to add pictures of Lauren's new glasses and something comes up. We took this one at my friend Krista's wedding; May 2nd in Las Vegas. It was way fun. Lauren loved checking out all the fun things in the yard. like a waterfall, swimming pool, mini golf, and of course the ladybugs were a bi hit with the kids too!!!

NEW BIKE!!!

Lauren has officially potty trained and earned her new bike!! She went seven days straight without an accident. There have been a few incidents but she has proven that she can do it and that makes all the difference in the world. We are so proud of her for taking this big step! :)

I just had to show these cute pictures of my little flirt. Breanna kissed him with some colored lipgloss and it was so cute I went nutts with the camera. :)

4 years old

I can't believe Lauren is four years old. She's growing up so fast. Sh'es such a good big sister and a great help to me. I love to watch her learn and grow, and she just loves her baby brother. He just thinks she's the coolest thing ever. :) She's also becoming quite the photographer. She's been taking quite a few pictures herself. it's amazing all of the things that she can do.

These are just a couple of cute pictures I took about a month ago. I take so many pictures with our new camera that it's hard to pick favorites. I need to add quite a few to shutterfly but our internet connection is having serious issues. I'm lucky to do anything without being kicked off lately. We hope to replace our internet very soon.

New Year

Well it's a new year!!! last year was quite eventfull beiing our first in the addition and with the addition of Shaylor to our family. It's so fun to watch Lauren and Shaylor grow and learn new things. We had a great Christmas with the Judds with waking up in our own house between visits to "Goona". Then we had fun in Nephi as the celebration continued through the weekend. Our little incident on the way to nephi was rather eventfull as well as we hit a patch of ice and flipped around facing the car next to us and ending up in the median. the nice thing was that Lauren is used to me "playing" in the snow so it didn't even faze her. Shaylor slept through the whole thing including having Russ and Jason get stuck trying to get us out and having to have the state trooper call the tow truck on us. I've never had flares set up for my own vehicle before. It was insane but we were quite blessed that it wasn't worse than it was. Other then that Christmas went well. It was great to spend time with the fam including Jason and Laura who traveled the farthest.
I have ton's of pics now on my shutterfly account for people to check out. I'll try to stay more updated...no promises though. Way fun to finally have a camera again after ours...well...went for a swim. Anyway, Shaylor is awake so I'll try to update pics soon.
