Yes, it's official. Lauren is in Kindergarten. She is one of "Mrs. Georges curious little monkeys". I expected a little bit of separation anxiety but instead she ran to join her class without hesitation, no "bye mom" not even a look back. I thought I'd have a hard time too but I actually was excited that I didn't have to force her to stay. :) She's is loving it and is growing up so much. She Learning so much understands more and more every day. Yesterday she was started to argue with me about something and then stopped herself. She said that she didn't mean to "talk back mean". "I meant to talk back nice". It was awesome!
It's amazing what she understands. Today she asked for a glass of milk... I told her that we needed to be careful and save it because I wasn't buying more before leaving town for the weekend. I explained that if she drank water instead then there would still be some tomorrow but if she drank it too fast then it would just be gone. She thought for a moment and then got herself a glass of water along with the milk and alternated sips between the two... not quite what I had in mind but she's getting there.
